The first night I arrived back in the states, I dreamed in Spanish! Ha! How ironic.
So, I'm back. The adventure is (temporarily) over. For those of you who know me well enough, you know the next adventure isn't too far off.
Here are some photos to round out the blog. The first was taken with my new Nikon...it's my favorite photo from the trip that I took. This is an artist that sits on the street every day in downtown San Jose. I asked him if he would mind me taking a photo of him. He didn't mind at all, so I started snapping away. While I was taking these pictures, another CR guy started to talk to me, asking me questions about myself. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by the attention considering I was holding an expensive piece of equipment. I made conversation with the guy, and asked him where 3rd St was. "Oh, it's over this way! Let me show you!" The painter suddenly looked up at me and shook his head violently as if to say, "No way! Do NOT go with him." I suddenly made up an excuse that I had to meet a friend of mine soon and would have to find it myself. The painter looked at me and smiled, nodding. I was so grateful of my temporary guardian angel.
my painter friend...lookin' out.
this is how much it cost to ride my bus every morning. All of these coins equal about 25 cents!!!! Ha!
I spent my last night in town with my friend, Marlon, who is a couchsurfer like me! If you don't know what couchsurfing is...you should check it out at: www.couchsurfing.com. It's a great website pairing travelers with hosts in the city they are traveling to. I met Marlon on that site because he had met my best friend's cousin when she was traveling in CR. Yeah, small world.

Ok, there. I look normal. Thanks Marlon!
Well, that's it for now. I'm going to write some more though, so stay tuned.
